Secondary and High School students have finally sat the official Cambridge exams for levels B1, B2, C1 and C2, an experience that represents far more than obtaining an academic qualification. Today, holding an official language qualification is a significant academic and professional advantage. These certificates recognise students’ level of linguistic competence and open doors to university opportunities, international programmes and their future careers. In addition, preparing for these exams involves consistent work on comprehension, speaking and writing skills, active listening and effective communication in English. However, the value of this process goes far beyond language learning. Preparing for and sitting long exams such as the Cambridge exams enables students to develop essential life skills and competencies. For months, they have worked on organisation and study planning, perseverance, concentration and time management. They have also learnt to face pressure, manage nerves and regulate their emotions during academically demanding moments. Resilience, personal effort and self-confidence are also strengthened throughout this journey. Sitting an official exam is an important challenge and, at the same time, an opportunity to grow, improve and develop greater independence. We would like to congratulate all students on their dedication, commitment and attitude throughout this process, and to thank families for their guidance and support, which have been essential in helping them successfully face this challenge.
