What's happening
Our Primary Education programme in Asturias is designed for pupils aged 6 to 12 and is guided by the Spanish national curriculum, enhanced with elements of the IB framework. It places particular emphasis on language learning, personalised development and the introduction of French or German.

Think, reason and applyStudents develop a practical, hands-on understanding of mathematics through the Singapore method. By reasoning, exploring concepts and solving problems, they build strong foundations in logical and numerical thinking.

Create and express yourself Music and visual arts give students meaningful ways to develop creativity and personal expression. They build artistic sensitivity, imagination and confidence while exploring different ways to communicate emotions and ideas.
Moving and growing healthyPhysical and psychomotor development is nurtured through play, sport and coordination activities. From an early age, students build healthy habits, teamwork skills and physical and emotional wellbeing.
Creative logical thinking
Programming and robotics are introduced progressively through tools such as Scratch. In a safe digital environment, students develop logical thinking, creativity and problem-solving skills.

8.50am – 9amStudents are welcomed into school for a calm and organised start to the day, with support as they settle in and prepare for learning.
Morning registration
9am – 9.10amA purposeful start to the morning, allowing students to register, share any important updates and get ready for the day ahead.
First learning block
9.10am – 10.50amStudents begin the day with two focused lessons designed to build knowledge, skills and confidence through engaging learning experiences.
Break time
10.50am – 11.10amAn active break that gives students time to rest, play and socialise with their classmates.
Second learning block
11.30am – 1pmStudents return to the classroom for two further lessons, continuing their learning through structured activities and guided exploration.
Lunch
1pm – 1.55pmFresh, balanced menus are prepared in the school’s own kitchen, giving students time to eat well, rest and share time with friends.
Reading time
1.55pm – 2.15pmA calm moment dedicated to reading, helping students develop focus, enjoyment and confidence with books.
Final learning block
2.15pm – 4.15pmThe school day concludes with two final lessons, bringing together new learning before students head home.

Our Guidance Department has developed a dedicated programme to support students identified as having high abilities. The programme has been presented to the Association of Parents of High Ability Students, helping us work collaboratively to provide the most appropriate support for each child.
The process is clearly structured, so families understand every stage of their child’s journey, from initial detection and assessment to diagnosis and inclusion in the programme. The programme also gives careful attention to students’ emotional development, supporting both children and their families throughout the process.
