Where confidence grows
What's happening
At Palacio de Granda, safeguarding is more than a policy: it is a shared commitment across our whole school community. We work together to provide a safe, inclusive environment where every student feels protected, valued and supported in their wellbeing, learning and personal growth.
We're here to support you
Aroa García Zuazua
Designated Safeguarding Lead
Aroa, together with the coordinators and leadership team, leads safeguarding initiatives. She makes sure that the wellbeing of all our students is guaranteed.
Palacio de Granda promotes a safe and caring environment where students’ wellbeing and protection are our highest priority. Our whole school community, including staff, families and partners, shares the responsibility of preventing, identifying and responding to any risk, abuse or neglect. Through clear safeguarding protocols and ongoing training, we work together to protect every student and support their personal, social and academic development.
Secure access
At Palacio de Granda, visitor access is carefully managed across our campus through a clear registration and control system. This helps us maintain a safe, well-supervised environment for students, staff and families.
Campus supervision
Student safety is supported by active supervision throughout our facilities. Trained staff are present across the campus and prepared to respond quickly and appropriately to any situation that may arise.
Global safeguarding standards
PdG applies rigorous protocols aligned with ISP’s international child protection policies. These standards guide our prevention, reporting and response procedures, helping us act with clarity and care in the event of any concern.
Bullying prevention
As a KiVa school, we adopt an internationally recognised approach to preventing bullying. Students receive age-appropriate guidance throughout their school life, while their emotional wellbeing is monitored with care and consistency.
Wellbeing and personal growth
Our Personal Development Plan supports students in building self-esteem, positive relationships and emotional awareness through structured tutorial sessions. We help each student feel valued, understood and supported as they grow.
Online safety
We protect students online through Smoothwall, an advanced filtering tool that helps prevent access to inappropriate content. Students also receive guidance on cyberbullying and the responsible use of digital devices.
Digital responsibility
PdG helps students develop the judgement and awareness they need to use technology safely and respectfully. Through dedicated sessions, they learn how to behave responsibly online and understand the impact of their digital actions.
