At Palacio de Granda, students aged 12 to 16 study the national curriculum, enriched with the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP), which develops enquiry, critical thinking and intercultural awareness. Morning arrival
8.50am - 9amSchool doors open and students are welcomed as they begin their day.
Registration
9am - 9.10amAttendance is taken and students get organised for the morning ahead.
First learning session
9.10am - 11.45amThe day begins with three learning sessions before the first break.
Recess
11.45am - 12.05pmStudents enjoy a 20-minute break to rest, recharge and spend time with their classmates.
Second learning session
12.05pm - 1.45pmLearning resumes with two further teaching sessions before lunch.
Lunch

The Guidance Department has developed a programme designed to support students identified as gifted learners. This programme has been presented to the Association of Parents of Gifted Students to ensure the most appropriate support for our students.
Our approach is clearly structured, giving families a transparent understanding of each stage of their child’s journey, from initial identification and assessment to diagnosis and tailored support. Particular care is also given to students’ emotional development, with guidance provided for both the child and their family.
